Acne is a skin disorder affecting millions of people worldwide. People who suffer with acne search endlessly for a cure. Hoping for a miracle cure they try all sorts of medications, treatments and preparations claiming to get rid of their acne forever.
Sadly, many acne sufferers find these claims to be empty promises that don't work. While a miracle, quick cure would be the answer to many prayers it's just not realistic.
Many of the commercial treatments for acne are loaded with harsh, irritating even toxic chemicals often causing allergic reactions and skin irritation that leave the skin in worse condition than when the treatment began.
There is an all natural, although more gradual and slower, acne cure that works for many people who were former acne sufferers. This all natural cure has several components and must be followed for a longer period of time than many commercial treatments. However, the results are often a lifetime of clear, radiant, acne free skin.
There are 3 main components of natural treatment of acne:
- Diet
- Bowel Function
- Internal Organ Cleansing
Diet and Acne:
So the saying goes; you are what you eat. This is true with many acne sufferers. The first thing to look at is what to get out of your diet. Sugary foods; all foods with refined sugars such as sodas, sweetened fruit juices, sweets, candies and any other sugary treat.
Next stop eating anything that contains MSG (monosodium glutamate). Often found in Chinese foods, processed meats and meat tenderizers. Some spice packages have MSG in them too check the labels before you buy and avoid MSG. Also avoid Aspartame, an artificial sweetener in many diet drinks.
Take a look at the fats you eat. Hydrogenated oils should be out of your diet completely. Translation: no cakes, cookies, desserts, snack crackers, etc.. There are many of these ‘off limits' products that are made without the bad fats and these are fine to eat. Check the labels. Many organic sections of grocery stores or health food stores carry these healthy alternatives.
Fats that are good are all natural oils such as olive oil, cod liver oil and coconut oils. Oils found in seeds and nuts are healthy too.
Once you rid your diet of the bad stuff replace it with eating the right foods in the correct combinations. Fruit should be eaten alone. It's especially important to not eat fruits after a heavy meal.
Veggies should be eaten cooked with meat or oil (nuts, seeds) but not both. Combine salads with a variety of fresh vegetables.
Starches (found in breads, pasta, rice, potatoes, etc.) should not be consumed with meats.
Bowel Functioning:
Most people empty their bowels once every twenty four hours. Bowels should be emptied more often and should take place in just 30 seconds, longer is a sign of a sluggish digestion system and may be a result of the hard to digest foods. When this waste remains in the intestines for long periods of time (ideally one should eliminate about 20-30 minutes after a meal) the waste becomes poisonous and the results show on the skin in the form of acne.
To encourage healthy bowel movement reduce or eliminate intake of red meats and processed foods. There are a number of safe, effective herbal products on the market that can improve bowel function. These are helpful also.
Internal Organ Cleansing:
Whether you realize it or not our internal organs have parasites. Many can cause infections and result in acne. Herbal treatments, many are combined with bowel function treatments, should be utilized to rid the gut of these disease producing parasites.
This ‘cure' for acne is not overnight nor is it a one shot treatment. It takes time and effort to make it work. But it will work if you stick with it and are consistent. Don't give up when you don't see immediate results and don't stop the program when you begin to see results.
